Invisible Technology – a vision for school IT
A friend asked me what my dream for the IT systems at school were. This is it:
Seamless integration of ICT tools across our two sites, so that the tools become invisible. Students and teachers are so focused on learning they’re not even aware of the technologies being used.
Invisible ICT enables teaching and learning. It means that it works instantly and first time, wherever you are. It’s engaging, intuitive, creative, and moves into the background to bring learning into focus.
Invisible ICT connects people and manifests learning conversations.
It means that stakeholders (students, teachers, pastoral staff, leadership, parents, BOT) have continuous metrics on individual and cohort achievement.
Invisible ICT means that Digital Citizenship becomes just Good (Godly) Citizenship.
